24-hour charity Stitch-A-Thon in Scarborough

If you're at a loose end on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st June, you might be interested in picking up your needle to help HOPE, a charity which aims to provide services and resources to people who have suffered from childhood abuse.

HOPE is organising a 24-hour Stitch-A-Thon, to be held from 12 noon on the Friday to 12 noon on the Saturday at the Phoenix Centre in Scarborough, where the charity works from. If you live too far away to make the journey, all sponsors and donations of money or stitching materials are very much appreciated, so don't feel you can't help out. All donations help HOPE to keep supporting the people who desperately need it. The charity is run entirely by unpaid volunteers, so every little bit counts!*

If you would like to take part click here to email Helen Mason, with 'FAO Helen' or 'Stitch-A-Thon' as the subject line, or write to her at:

Take a look at the HOPE website for more details of their work in the community.

*If you'd like to make a donation by cheque or postal order, please make it payable to 'HOPE Groups' and write 'Stitch-A-Thon' on the envelope.
